It is the next morning and the team isn't quite ready.  It is still before the sun comes out and Seidon thinks it is still bed time.  While some other teams pack up and leave, Siri and Lee make breakfast and let the awake dogs start to play to get their playing energy out before their excursion.  The fire was dying, but its redish orange glow still bathed the two parties in golden light before the giant star appeared over the tops of the trees, or even over the horizon as a matter of fact.  Siri walked over to the other handler and handed him a plate of eggs, ham, and a buttered biscuit.

“Lee, I see Seidon only has three legs.  Do you really think you are going to get that Chimera versus anyone else who’s dogs have all their legs?” 

Lee looked at Siri with clouded eyes, he was still tired himself, but this speech has been long rehearsed.  Back at the ranch, choosing which dogs to take to Siping and Alpas was huge, and even our newest male, Hephaestus was making a splash with his new titles.  The ranch was divided and it was left to India to decide.  Dio was chosen first for his top-rated sniffer and his ability to stay focus at the task at hand.  Some of the other dogs, as India had said, were just not experienced enough.  When India looked at Seidon in her kennel at the ranch, the thought came.  India remembered back to when the ranch adopted the tripod and saw how good she was with Hera.  Even though the brindle girl was all grown, she had been a puppy at the time and Seidon was just the best playmate as well as mother to her and all the other puppies the staff has brought back to the ranch.  Seidon would be these puppy mill puppies’ mother and take care of them as if they truly were her own.

Lee told this to Siri and although she smiled, Lee suspected it was more of a smile out of curtisy and not of actual happiness.

“Well, ok then.  My team is off.  See you at the end of the day Meier.” And with that, Siri and her team were off, leaving Lee, Seidon and Dio to get ready and head off to their next destination and hopefully, a puppy to prove their worth here on the island.
